This holiday cottage is situated at the top of a no-through lane in the village of Wookey Hole. It makes a great base for people wanting to visit Wookey Hole and its magnificent caves, but is also close to the city of Wells, with its cathedral and bishops’ palace. The area is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and nature lovers with the Mendip Area of Natural Beauty and RSPB Ham Wall Nature Reserve close by. The cottage has an enclosed south facing garden, and one medium-sized dog is welcome. A veranda with sliding glass doors leads out into the garden, and you can sit and enjoy breakfast or relax there in the evening with your favourite tipple after a day spent exploring this great part of the country. From the door you can walk up into the Mendips and down into Wells. Also worth a visit is Glastonbury with its tor and abbey, also Clarks Village, the designer outlet at Street and Cheddar with its caves and gorge. The Roman spa city of Bath, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare are about an hour away. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 330 yards.
