The village is 3 miles away and it has a handy community store and a family-run pub, whereas slightly further afield the historic market town of Crediton boasts a selection of shops, pubs, and a bustling farmers market. Also worth a visit is Tiverton with its castle, museum and country park which runs along the canal. Other attractions and places of interest in the area include the cathedral city of Exeter, Escot, Bickleigh Mill and numerous National Trust properties such as Killerton, and Castle Drogo.
