Wildwood Cottage is set in a tranquil, rural location, and as the name would suggest, you are within a forest and with a large, enclosed garden. The perfect spot to forget about the world and relax. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you would find it hard to discover such a magical house. The garden is exceptional, with seating areas, a firepit, as well as a barbeque for those alfresco evenings watching the sun go down and the stars appearing in all their glory.
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom country property is accessed via a five-bar gate with ample parking for 4 cars. As you enter the ground floor into the hallway, you have a lovely living room with a log burner, further dining creating a relaxing area. The kitchen is the heart of the house, opening up to the most wonderful sunroom which reaches out into the garden to appreciate this magnificent space. Head upstairs to find the master bedroom housing a kingsize bed and enjoying the beautiful woodland outlook. A further double bedroom and another single bedroom with a cot for that all important sixth guest. The bathroom is on hand for the whole family and a further study on this level allows for either a quiet retreat or workspace if required.
The cottage welcomes babies, toddlers, and children, fully equipped with stairgate, highchair, children’s crockery, and cutlery. There are plenty of children’s books for bedtime stories and garden toys, including trikes and a large paddling pool.
Ideally located 20 minutes from Dartmoor, the Cornish border, and the towns of Okehampton and Launceston, the cottage is within easy reach of both north and south Devon beaches. Much closer to home is Roadford Lake for a variety of water sports. Secure storage is available for bikes and any water leisure equipment. Surrounded by beautiful woodland and countryside, there are many adventures to be had, information can be found in the cottage, but the following options are worth exploring. For garden lovers, apart from Wildwood Cottage Garden, of course, are the beautiful RHS garden, Rosemoor and the famous Eden Project.
