Welcome to Finlog, a delightful log cabin within a secluded setting within North Devon, surrounded by miles of woodland, yet within 10 miles of some of Devon’s most revered beaches. If you are looking to escape the pace of everyday life, this holiday haven is an ideal choice.
With its own lawned garden with garden swing-seat and twin benches, plus a veranda with very comfortable furniture and barbecue, there is plenty of outdoor space. Once inside, you are greeted by a warm, inviting open plan living area, with twin sofas to sink into, dining table and well-equipped kitchen. There is a TV and woodburning stove, just perfect for chilly evenings, adding to the homely mature of this solid, wood lodge. There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and the second a twin room with TV and door onto the veranda. A superb family bathroom with double walk-in shower completes this pleasant and restful abode.
The nearby village of Bradworthy has a wonderful, community feel, with a selection of shops including convenience store, post office, vets and hardware shop. The local pub has an array of real ales and tasty food menu. Venture further afield towards the Hartland Devon and Heritage Coast, with its rugged cliffs and powerful waves crashing against the rocks, or to Sandymouth Bay, with its golden stretch of sand or the several beaches of Bude including some great for surfing, dog walks aplenty and rockpools, coves and inlets for children of all ages to explore! Less than half an hour by car takes you to Clovelly, picture-perfect with its steep cobbled street, thatched cottages and beautiful harbour. Wherever your day takes you, return at the end to snug Finlog, where a good night’s sleep beckons before tomorrow’s great adventure. Beach 1 mile. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.
