This lovely traditional cottage is located under a mile away from the local serene beach – the perfect place to enjoy some of the best sunsets in this amazing region.
The accommodation comprises of a living/dining room with a cosy wood burner, a Smart TV and access to the garden via French doors. The kitchen has all you’ll need for your stay including a dishwasher and there’s also a utility room off the kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a handy ground floor separate toilet and on the first floor you will find the two double bedrooms, one with a Smart TV and a reading/dressing room off it which leads to the en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over and the other has the unusual addition of a designated gun cabinet. Nearby there’s the Southwest Shooting Centre. Outside you’ll find a garden area with seating and a handy carport plus an area for storing surfboards and wetsuits.
There’s also a handy outside tap and parking is available for three cars. The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered such as the local beach at Combe Martin where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets of the North Devon coast. On the doorstep is Combe Martin’s very own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and the surrounding area boasts other attractions such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Watermouth Bay and the South West Coast Path, the lovely Fuchsia Valley, Watermouth Castle & Theme Park and don’t forget the nearby town of Ilfracombe with its very own harbour and port which dates back to at least the 12th century with quality ice cream, fish & chip and various craft shops plus Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’ statue which is a must see.
Trips to Lundy Island, coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris and diving are also all available from here. Take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat.
