This is Olive Tree House, in West Down. It's a normal sort of village, quiet most of the time. The house is detached and you get the garden to yourselves. It looks out over fields at the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's the main thing about it. It's got a 4 Star rating, which just means it's finished to a good standard. It's open plan downstairs, with big doors out to the garden.
The stairs are fine. The main bedroom has a bath in it, which some people like. The lights in the bedrooms are made from old Kilner jars.
Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. There's a storage area at the side for bikes or surfboards, and an outdoor tap for rinsing wetsuits. Parking is on the driveway.
The village shop is a two minute walk. The local pub is about the same. They do good food. For the beach, Woolacombe is about a ten minute drive. It's good for surfing. Ilfracombe is a bit further along the coast.
Exmoor is a 20 minute drive inland. Good for walking. The National Trust has Arlington Court nearby. Lynton and Lynmouth are about a half hour drive if you want dramatic cliffs.
What's here: all the basics like a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
