Jellicoe
Jellicoe is in Ilfracombe, right in the centre of town. It's a first and second floor apartment, so it's up some stairs. You look out directly over the harbour.
It sleeps three. One bedroom with a four-poster double bed. There's also a proper single day bed in the same room, which is good if you've got one child. One bathroom with a bath and shower over it. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept.
The main town car park is about twenty yards away. You can usually find a space on the surrounding streets. The harbour is right there too. You can see Damien Hirst’s Verity statue from the front.
The beach is a down-hill walk, about a mile to Wildersmouth. For a longer stretch of sand, you'd drive to Hele Bay or Woolacombe.
Exmoor is close by for walking. The drive up to Lynton and Lynmouth is about forty minutes. The cliff railway there is worth seeing. There's a golf course in the town, and Ilfracombe has the usual seafront things.
Inside, it's open plan on the ground floor with the kitchen, dining and sitting area. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine in the main hallway of the building. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
