Mentioned in the Domesday Book, this 100-acre working farm, on the slopes of the pretty Teign Valley, is ideal for both family holidays and those wanting peace and quiet. Next to the owner’s home, this delightful thatched farmhouse has a small, enclosed, south-facing garden in the farmyard. Children will love the galleries in the bedrooms and they are encouraged to help with the animals. Bring wellies for the farm! Visitors are free to wander over the farmland which has an abundance of wildlife. Hennock, a farming village, is a 10-minute walk. Bovey Tracey with several shops, pubs and restaurants, and Cantonteign Falls, reputed to be the highest waterfall in England, are both within 2 miles. Teignmouth’s sandy beach is just 7 miles away and there is excellent walking and riding on nearby Dartmoor. Four golf courses and a heated indoor swimming pool with sports facilities are within 5 miles. Exeter, Torbay, Dartmouth and Totnes are within ½ hour’s drive.
