Full of character Hillside Cottage benefits from a gorgeous little sunny back garden and is only a few steps from the village beach or the dramatic coastal footpath. The cottage has a dedicated parking space which is essential in this small village.
The property has had a new kitchen extension added for the summer of 2011 which has made the ground floor considerably larger and brings the facilities up to date, well-equipped any budding chef on holiday will enjoy cooking up a feast! The living area is heavily beamed and there is a range of comfortable chairs around the large Cornish stone fireplace with wood burner, perfect for cosy winter evenings. Upstairs there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms, one comfortable double with an en-suite shower room, and one twin room, both rooms have plenty of storage and there are glimpses of the sea from the windows. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom with a relaxing tub to soak in after a busy day exploring.
Portscatho and its neighbouring village of Gerrans are located on the eastern coast of the Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall, overlooking the dramatic Gerrans Bay. A truly peaceful waterside village, Portscatho is a lovely place for a holiday. There are miles of coastal and countryside footpaths to explore, particularly along St Anthony’s Head. The beaches such as Porthcurnick and Towan are simply idyllic, and these are only minutes from the village. With two great little pubs and a well-stocked local store, the cottage is perfect for those looking for a relaxed holiday without the car! Beach 140 yards.
