This new build offers hotel quality in a self-catering environment and there is everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Suitable for extended families, this ground floor property is ideal for those with some mobility issues as well as children of any age. The walk-in showers offer an alternative to the beautiful stone bath which some guests may prefer. There are two seating areas in the property, a smaller one in the open plan kitchen/dining area where the table turns into a pool table, and a separate large living area with an 80” widescreen TV.
You are surrounded by countryside with large private gardens which is great for children to run around as well as a large patio area for al fresco dining. The hot tub is suitable for five at a time, great for relaxing any time of the day but please shower before you use it.
There is so much to do locally, as well as plenty of walks. Penrose in Helston is a large country estate where you can walk to Porthleven, pass by the large Loe Bar, walk through the woods, and end up on a sandy beach, great for wearing out children.
Porthleven is 10 minutes from Helston, you can take the circular coastal path and enjoy the stunning views and wildlife. After this walk, stop at this picturesque harbour and soak up the atmosphere, with plenty of places to eat there is something for everyone. Popular with families and surfers it has a sandy beach, so why not buy some crabbing lines in the local shop and let the children catch crabs off the harbour wall. If the weather is not great, spend a day at Flambards Theme Park in Helston. It has indoor and outdoor activities to suit all ages, a lovely garden and you can experience what it would have been like in the Blitz and in Victorian times.
There are beautiful beaches close by, the largest is Praa Sands, just over 6 miles away. The large sandy beach is great for children, with a café and a pub on the beach as well as a fish and chip shop. Between Ashton and Praa Sands you will find small coves which are hidden. Rinsey is lovely, there is a walk from the car but its well worth it, as is Hendra beach which is quiet and secluded. For golf enthusiasts, pack your clubs there is a course in Helston and one in Mullion just under 10 miles away. Mullion has a lovely beach at Poldhu, and it’s great for families.
