The Farmhouse is in Downgate. It's a Cornish granite place, detached, at the end of a track. You get the whole house and garden to yourselves.
It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one downstairs and one up. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after and comfortable.
The place has character. The stairs to the bunk room are quite steep and narrow, they're original. There's a wood burner in the living room and one in the dining room. The kitchen is a good size. The garden is lawned, big enough for kids to run around in.
You're right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. You can walk straight out onto it. The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Looe and Polperro are that way, proper old fishing villages. Whitsand Bay and Seaton Beach are good for a long stretch of sand.
The Eden Project is half an hour away. For a historic house and gardens, Lanhydrock and Cotehele are both National Trust properties nearby.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking for three cars. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed, sorry.
If you've got a bigger group, there are two other cottages on the same track that can be booked together with this one.
