Cowshed
The Cowshed is on our farm near Pensilva. We're up on the moor, so it's quiet. The views are good.
It's a conversion, so it was literally a cowshed. Now it's got two bedrooms upstairs and sleeps three. The bedrooms are next to each other and each has its own door from the landing. One has a double bed, the other a single. There's one bathroom with a shower.
Downstairs is all one room. Kitchen at one end, table in the middle, sofas at the other. Patio doors open onto your own bit of gravel patio. It gets the sun in the morning.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. WiFi works fine.
You're on the edge of Bodmin Moor here. You can walk straight out from the door onto the moor. It's proper walking country.
Looe and Polperro are about a twenty minute drive. They're the classic Cornish fishing villages. The coast that way is rocky. For a long sandy beach, Whitsand Bay is about half an hour. The Eden Project is also roughly half an hour away.
If you like history, the old mine engine houses are all over the landscape. The National Trust has several places nearby, like Lanhydrock House. That's a good day out.
We don't allow pets. Sorry about that.
