The Piggery is in Downgate, near Pensilva. It's a single storey cottage converted from a farm building. It's on a private estate, so it's quiet. You look out over fields and woods.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well equipped, but it's not huge. It's a good size for two. The main room has the kitchen, a sofa, and a table. There's a stable door.
The bedroom has a Velux window in the roof. The shower is a good size. The walls inside are the original stone, which looks nice.
Outside, there's a patio with a picnic bench. You can park right next to it.
The location is rural. You're on the edge of Bodmin Moor. There are walks straight from the door. You'll see old mine engine houses around. The National Trust Cornwall page has ideas for days out. The Bodmin Moor site is useful for walking routes.
Pensilva village has a shop and a pub. It's about a ten minute walk. Launceston is the nearest town, about a 15 minute drive. The north coast, like Widemouth Bay, is about half an hour's drive. The south coast, around Looe, is roughly the same.
It has WiFi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking. Sorry, no pets.
The estate has other cottages. You can book several together if you're in a bigger group.
