The Henhouse is just outside the village of Pensilva, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's an old farm building we've done up. One of a group of cottages on a private estate.
It's got two bedrooms, so sleeps four. There's one bathroom with a shower. The living area is open plan. The kitchen is down a couple of steps from the sitting area, so mind your head. It's a galley kitchen, so it's compact but it has everything you need.
The place is full of character. It's got original stone walls and a stable door. There's a small patio outside with a picnic bench. You're right in the countryside here, so it's very quiet.
The estate has its own footpaths down through the woods by the river. You might see deer or buzzards. There are old mine engine houses around the moor, which are interesting to walk to.
Pensilva village has a shop and a pub, both about a ten-minute walk away. For supermarkets, you'll want to drive to Liskeard, which is about fifteen minutes.
The north coast, places like Port Isaac and Polzeath, are about half an hour's drive. The south coast, Looe way, is about the same. Bodmin Moor itself is on your doorstep for walking. The National Trust has lots of properties nearby, like Lanhydrock.
In terms of what's here: parking, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There's no washing machine in this cottage, but there is a shared laundry facility on the estate you can use. Sorry, no pets.
