Milking Parlour
The Milking Parlour is a one-bedroom cottage for two people on our family farm near Downgate. It’s a converted farm building, so it's a single, open-plan room downstairs, with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You’ve got your own enclosed, gravelled garden out the back with a table and chairs. It's south-facing so you get the sun most of the day. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's all on one level downstairs – kitchen, dining table, sofa and chair. The stairs are steep, which is normal for these old buildings. Upstairs is the king-size bed and a bathroom with a good-sized shower cubicle.
The farm is quiet. Bodmin Moor starts practically at the end of the drive if you want to go walking. You can see old mine chimneys from the garden.
Looe and the coast are about a 20-minute drive away. Polperro is a bit further. The Eden Project is roughly half an hour by car. For National Trust places, Lanhydrock and Cotehele are both within a 30-minute drive.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, parking. There's no washing machine in this one, but we can usually help out if you need something washed. No pets, sorry.
