St Austell Bay has an abundance of excellent beaches, with rock pools, coves and inlets. Charlestown, famous for being the setting of many films and TV series over the years, including Poldark, is the home of a small fleet of impressive Tall Ships, with an excellent Shipwreck Museum and selection of both trendy eateries and traditional pubs. The town of St Austell with its array of shops, restaurants, cafes lies just a few miles inland, and the iconic attraction, The Eden Project, with its huge biomes protecting not least of all, the world’s largest indoor rainforest is a must visit. Beautiful Fowey, with its narrow streets and boutique shops is a delight, whilst picture-perfect Mevagissey has a magic all its own. Whatever you choose to do here, you are well placed to explore atmospheric moorland, coastal coves and hidden caves, or discover woodland valleys and meandering rivers and much, much more.
