A short distance from the town of St Austell, within a peaceful residential area, you will find this superbly presented granite house. Once parked on the private drive, take the garden path and enter into a bright, airy space. The ground floor consists of a wonderful open plan kitchen dining room, which winds round to meet the inviting living room. Twin sets of doors lead to the garden, bringing the outdoors in and opening the area. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing a holiday feast. The living room provides the ideal place to kick back and relax, especially after a busy day exploring the area. Upstairs reveals three elegant and contemporary bedrooms, with built in storage space, one kingsize with en-suite bathroom, one double room and one kids’ room with bunk beds. As well as the family bathroom. Outside the pleasant garden is south facing, and has a wonderful, ornate canopy angled down away from the house, beneath which you will find garden furniture and the perfect space for al fresco dining. To the front of the house there is a very useful outdoor shower. There’s even access to a private beach within walking distance.
St Austell Bay has an abundance of excellent beaches, with rock pools, coves and inlets. Charlestown, famous for being the setting of many films and TV series over the years, including Poldark, is the home of a small fleet of impressive Tall Ships, with an excellent Shipwreck Museum and selection of both trendy eateries and traditional pubs. The town of St Austell with its array of shops, restaurants, cafes lies just a few miles inland, and the iconic attraction, The Eden Project, with its huge biomes protecting not least of all, the world’s largest indoor rainforest is a must visit. Beautiful Fowey, with its narrow streets and boutique shops is a delight, whilst picture-perfect Mevagissey has a magic all its own. Whatever you choose to do here, you are well placed to explore atmospheric moorland, coastal coves and hidden caves, or discover woodland valleys and meandering rivers and much, much more.
