Goldfinch Apartment is part of a complex near Hartland. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That's about right. It's clean and comfortable, not a luxury place.
The apartment is on the ground floor. Open plan living. It's in a block of fifteen properties on a big site, about twelve acres. You get outstanding views over the Devon countryside.
The main thing here is the on-site facilities. There's a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, a gym, and a games room. There's a one-and-a-half-acre coarse fishing lake on site. Also a nine-hole pitch and putt and a boule court.
There's a bar and restaurant on site, which does a takeaway too. You need to book a table for the restaurant before 5pm on the day.
You're about four miles from the coast. Westward Ho! and Bude are within maybe a twenty minute drive for surfing. Bideford is a short drive for shops. You can get a boat to Lundy Island from there.
For walking, the Tarka Trail and coastal paths are nearby. The Hartland Peninsula is dramatic. Clovelly, Instow and Appledore are pretty fishing villages to visit.
If you've got kids or just like that sort of thing, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are a short drive away. For gardens, RHS Rosemoor is worth a trip.
Facilities in the apartment: bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Parking is on site. No pets.
