Chestnut Apartment
Chestnut Apartment is on the Moorhead Country Holidays site in Venn, Devon. It's a ground floor apartment, part of a complex of holiday places. You get your own front door.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The stairs inside the apartment are fine, but just so you know, some of the stairs up to other apartments on the site are steep or spiral. Ours are okay.
The main thing here is the site itself. They've got a heated indoor pool and a hot tub you can book. There's a gym, a games room, and a bar and restaurant that does takeaway. You need to book the restaurant before 5pm on the day. There's also a fishing lake and a pitch and putt course.
Location wise, you're about four miles from the coast. Westward Ho! and Bude are the big beach towns nearby, good for surfing. Bideford is close too, and that's where you get the boat to Lundy Island from.
For walking, the Tarka Trail is right on the doorstep. The Hartland Peninsula and Clovelly are a short drive away for dramatic coastline. If you need a rainy day plan, The Big Sheep or The Milky Way adventure parks are within half an hour.
What's included: bedding and towels, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. There's no pets allowed. The bedding and towels are provided.
