Viking
This is Viking, a new house built in 2023 just outside Newport. It's detached, so you're not sharing any walls. It's set back from the road to Newport and Arreton, on a little lane.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. All the showers are walk-in rain showers. The master bedroom has its own ensuite.
Downstairs is all open plan. The kitchen has an island with a breakfast bar. The big bi-fold doors open right onto the garden. The view from there is over fields, east-facing, so you get the sunrise and the sunset. You can walk or cycle straight from the bottom of the garden onto the lane and footpaths towards Newport.
The house is central on the island. Newport is a few minutes in the car for shops. Ryde seafront is about ten minutes drive. The bus stop into Newport and Ryde is a five minute walk away.
Plenty to do nearby. You're close to Arreton Barns for crafts and food, The Garlic Farm, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle are a short drive. The coastal path, beaches, Ventnor Botanic Garden, and places like Blackgang Chine are all within half an hour.
Facilities: everything you'd expect in a new build. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well finished. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
You can get discounted ferry travel arranged. Also, if you're a big group, this house can be booked with others next door.
