Squirrelstone
Squirrelstone is a bungalow in Gurnard Pines, near Cowes. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
It's a single-storey place, so no stairs to worry about. The living area is open plan. You get a private garden out the back. It's not huge, but it's yours to use.
Gurnard Pines itself is a quiet wooded estate. Good for walks with the dog, if you've brought one. It's about a ten minute walk down to Gurnard beach, which is shingle. You can see the Solent from there, with the boats going past.
Cowes is the nearest proper town. It's about two miles away. That's where the ferry comes in from Southampton. Lots of shops and places to eat there. The famous sailing week is in August, which is very busy but good to see.
If you want to explore, you can drive to The Needles in about half an hour. Osborne House is about twenty minutes away. For walks, National Trust Isle of Wight has good information on their coastal paths.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, a TV, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. The electricity is part of the price. No pets, sorry.
