The Old Cowshed

This is The Old Cowshed. It's a detached lodge on our smallholding just outside of Little Whitehouse on the Isle of Wight. It's a 5 Star property, so everything is in good order and it's well kitted out.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own doors straight out onto the deck, and two ensuite bathrooms. There's underfloor heating, which is great in winter. The living area is open plan.

You're on a smallholding here. There are ponies, sheep, and chickens in the fields around. It's quiet, with views over the countryside. The garden is enclosed and there's a hot tub on the deck.

Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, and bedding and towels. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot and highchair. We accept two pets.

For location: it's a country spot. The nearest beach is Thorness Bay, about a mile or so away. Cowes seafront is a short drive. The property is on the 'Round the Island' cycle route and a short walk from the coastal path.

Within about half an hour you can get to most of the main places. That includes Carisbrooke Castle, Alum Bay and The Needles, Blackgang Chine, and the villages like Godshill and Shanklin. The west of the island is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
