The Calf Shed
The Calf Shed is in Chelmorton, on a farm. It's a small, detached stone building we converted. It's just for two people.
Inside, it's all on one level except the bedroom, which is down a few steps. The bedroom has a double bed. There's a shower room next to it. The main room is kitchen, dining, and sitting area together. It's got a smart TV and wifi. The wifi is okay, but it's a farm, so it can be slower sometimes.
Outside, there's a private bit of garden with a table and chairs. You can park one car right outside. There's a bike store if you need it. If you're bringing horses, let me know ahead of time and we can sort grazing.
The farm is quiet. You'll see sheep in the fields. The village has a pub, the Church Inn, which is about a ten-minute walk. It does food.
For walking, you can start straight from the gate. You're right on the edge of the Peak District. The Tissington and High Peak trails are close by. Castleton, with the caves, is about a twenty-minute drive. Buxton is the nearest town, maybe ten minutes in the car. It's got shops, a couple of supermarkets, and an opera house. Bakewell is a bit further.
Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. They need to be kept on a lead around the farm animals, obviously.
