Cowcroft

Cowcroft is in Litton, in the Peak District. It's one of three converted stone barns on a working farm. They were done up in 2023.

It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's been finished to a good standard. Underfloor heating on the ground floor. The ceilings are high and beamed.

You're on a farm. They have sheep. In late March and April, there'll be lambs. You might be able to see them or help feed them.

The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an outdoor tap for washing dogs or muddy boots. There's bike storage too. One parking space with an EV charger.

There's a village shop next door and a pub opposite that does food.

You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the hills. Bakewell and Chatsworth House are about 15 minutes by car. Buxton, with its opera house, is about 20 minutes. Castleton is also 20 minutes, where you can walk up Mam Tor or see the caves. The start of the Pennine Way at Edale is about 25 minutes away.

Facilities include a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a cot and highchair. All bedding and towels are included.
