Bankfield Barn is in Tideswell, in the Peak District. It's not a barn anymore, it's a holiday place.
The setup is upside down. So you come in through a little hall. On that ground floor there's a good sized double bedroom and a shower room. The shower is a proper walk-in one, quite big. The washing machine is in a cupboard under the stairs.
Upstairs is all one room. Kitchen at one end, sofa and TV at the other, with a table in the middle. It’s light, with patio doors out to your own garden bit. There’s no proper oven but there is a two-ring hob, a combi microwave, an air fryer and a slow cooker. The sofa turns into a double bed if you ask in advance, so it can sleep four.
You can park on the street right outside. There's plenty of space. Just use the drive for unloading.
Tideswell’s a good village. There's a Co-op, a few pubs that do food, a chip shop, cafes, a bakery. You can start walks from the door.
For things to do, the Monsal Trail and Millers Dale are close for walks. Castleton is a short drive. Bakewell and Buxton are nearby towns to wander round. Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes away if you want a big day out.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and comfy. You get all the bedding and towels. WiFi is included. You can bring up to two dogs.
