Middlecroft

This is Middlecroft. It's one of a pair of stone barn conversions on our working farm in Litton, in the Peak District. It was finished in 2023.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 4 Star. It's got underfloor heating on the ground floor, which is nice in the cooler months. The ceilings are beamed and vaulted.

Outside, there's an enclosed patio area. The garden is shared with the other cottage, but you have your own bit. We've got a parking space for each property with an EV charger. There's bike storage and an outside tap for cleaning bikes, boots, or dogs.

We're a farm. If you're here towards the end of March, the lambing is usually on for a few weeks. You might see some newborns.

Litton is a small village. There's a village shop next to the barns and a decent pub across the road that does food. You can walk or cycle straight from the door.

Bakewell and Chatsworth House are about 15 minutes away by car. Buxton, with its opera house, is around 20 minutes. Castleton is also 20 minutes, where you've got Mam Tor and the caverns. The start of the Pennine Way at Edale is about 25 minutes drive.

For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. We take up to two dogs.
