The Loft
The Loft is a barn conversion on our working farm in Litton. It's one of three we've done. It sleeps two people.
It was finished in 2023, so everything is new. It's got underfloor heating downstairs. The ceiling is high and beamed. There's one bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio area. It's secure for dogs. We've got a hose and space to wash muddy boots or bikes. There's a private parking spot with an electric vehicle charger. Bike storage is available.
The farm is running, so you'll see sheep and tractors about. In late March through April, we're lambing. You might see newborn lambs, and sometimes guests can help feed them.
Litton village is small. There's a shop next door to the cottage and a pub across the road that does food.
You can start walking or cycling right from the door. For a longer drive, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are about 15 minutes. Buxton is 20 minutes. Castleton is also 20 minutes away, where you can walk up Mam Tor or see the caves. The start of the Pennine Way at Edale is about 25 minutes.
It's a 4 Star rated place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The facilities are on the listing, but it includes things like a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided.
We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
