Happy Ever After

Happy Ever After is a lodge on Felmoor Park, near the village of Eshott. It's detached, which means you get a bit more privacy and your own space. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy.

The main thing is the decks. There's one at the front and one at the back. The back one looks out over fields and gets the sun in the evening. There's a hot tub on one of them. Inside, it's open plan. There's a Smart TV with Netflix, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The park itself is quiet. There's a lake you can walk around. The on-site restaurant and cafe are about 100 yards away, which is useful if you don't want to drive. You're right by the A1, so getting anywhere is straightforward, but you don't really hear the road.

Northumberland Zoo is two minutes up the road. It's good for a few hours, especially with kids.

The coast is about a fifteen minute drive. Craster is famous for its kippers. Seahouses is where you get boats to the Farne Islands to see the puffins. Bamburgh has the castle on the beach. All of that is within half an hour.

Alnwick is about twenty minutes away. The castle and gardens are there. If you head inland, you've got the National Park for walking. Northumberland National Park has good information on routes.

Facilities: it's all there. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. There's parking right by the lodge and an electric vehicle charger. Two well-behaved dogs are allowed.
