This is Deer View, a lodge in Burgham, Northumberland. It's detached and looks out over fields, hence the name.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.
Inside, it's open plan. There’s a kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting area with a TV and wi-fi. French doors lead out to the deck.
The main thing outside is the hot tub on the front decking. It fits six and has a privacy screen. There's a gravelled area at the back that gets the sun. We've left some deckchairs, recliners, and a couple of parasols out there.
It's at the back of Bockenfield Country Park. The park has about 25 acres, a kids' play area, a shop, and a café bar. There's a footbridge over the beck to the sister site if you want to use their facilities too.
For things to do, you're well placed. A few miles in one direction gets you to Morpeth for shops and cafes. A few miles the other way gets you to the coast at Amble and Warkworth. Alnwick Castle is about a 20-minute drive. The Northumberland coast path is easily reached. If you're into golf or horse riding, there are local places for that.
Facilities: All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right next to the lodge. You can bring up to two dogs.
