The Doll’s House was originally built in the alleyway between two blocks of terraced houses and is famed as being one of the smallest properties in Cornwall, about 3m wide at the front and back but with a narrow squeeze point in the middle it is remarkable how much space and character has been kept. Often described as quaint and charming the accommodation is perfect for a romantic getaway with a living room and bedroom upstairs with great coastal views from the iconic Bickford Smith institute with its clock tower that is so often photographed underneath storm waves all the way along the coast towards Mullion and Predannack Head. Downstairs a fitted kitchen and dining area complement the whole ambience.
Porthleven is in one of the most popular areas of Cornwall, quaint fishing villages, beautiful beaches, magnificent headlands and secluded coves. There are a variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. The beach extends at low tide for 3 miles towards Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate. From Porthleven it is a short drive to Helston and on, to savour the delights of Kynance Cove, the Helford River and the Lizard itself. Travelling west takes you into Mounts Bay where Marazion, St Michael’s Mount, Penzance and Mousehole are all well worth the trip. Beach ¾ mile.
