Delfryn is a cottage in Llanarth, which is a village near the coast in Ceredigion. It's link-detached, so attached to one other house. We renovated it a few years back. I tried to keep the old bits, like the stone fireplace, while making it comfortable to stay in.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms upstairs with a family bathroom. Downstairs, there's a shower room too, which is handy. The main living room has the fireplace with a gas stove. Off that, there's a smaller snug room with another sofa and TV. The kitchen is open plan and leads out through French doors to the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog. We allow up to two dogs.
The village has a shop a few minutes' walk away, and a pub that does food about the same distance. You're right on the A487, so it's easy to get to places. It's a main road, so you do hear some traffic, but it's handy for driving.
New Quay is about three miles away. That's where you go for the beach and the dolphin trips. They're in the harbour most days. Aberaeron is about the same distance the other way. It's a nice little harbour town with coloured houses and places to eat.
For walking, you've got the Wales Coast Path all along here. The bits around Llangrannog and Aberporth are really good. If you fancy a drive, Aberystwyth is about 35 minutes north. You can get the cliff railway up Constitution Hill there. Further inland, you've got places like Llwyernog Mine.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's got the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on the drive.
