The Snug

The Snug is a terraced stone cottage on the edge of Aberaeron. It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

It's a short walk from the coastal path. The beach is maybe a five minute walk across a field. To get into the town centre, it's about fifteen or twenty minutes on foot. Aberaeron is a nice Georgian town. The harbour has all those painted houses, and there are some good places to eat. The honey ice cream is worth trying.

The stairs are a bit steep, as they often are in these old cottages. There's a small patio garden out the back. Parking is on site.

For things to do, you're well placed here. You can walk the coastal path in either direction. The National Trust's Llanerchaeron is nearby, you can walk there along the old railway track. Further inland, the Hafod Estate and Devil's Bridge have good woodland walks. If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to Nant yr Arian to see the red kites being fed, or go mountain biking there.

Aberystwyth is about a twenty-five minute drive north. They've got the cliff railway and the university. To the south, about thirty minutes, Newquay does dolphin watching boat trips, though you might see them from Aberaeron harbour too.

The cottage has a washing machine, a shower, and bedding and towels are included. It's not set up for pets. One of the bedrooms and the entrance are wheelchair accessible.
