Roath

This is Roath. It's a cottage near Cilcennin in Ceredigion. It's on our two-acre smallholding, just outside the village. The cottage used to be a cow shed. It's one of a pair.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one wet room bathroom. Everything's on one level, which is good if steps are a bother. The floor is stone and the kitchen is new. It opens out into an enclosed courtyard.

There are sheep in the fields and we have chickens. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead when they're outside, just so everyone's safe.

The coast is about a fifteen minute drive. Aberaeron is the nearest proper town. It's a Georgian harbour with coloured houses, shops, and places to eat. New Quay is a bit further down. You can get boat trips from there sometimes, and people see dolphins.

For walks, there are public footpaths right from the gate. You can do a short loop or a much longer one. The Cardigan Bay Coast and Country website has good information.

If you want a day out, Llanerchaeron is a National Trust house near Aberaeron. It has gardens and a farm shop. Inland, there's Cors Caron nature reserve near Tregaron.

Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.

If you need more space, you can book the cottage next door, Tawelfan, as well.
