This is our place, Cornel Clyd, up near Ystrad Aeron. It means Cosy Corner.
It’s a one-bedroom cottage, sleeps two. They gave it a 4 Star rating. It’s been done up recently so everything feels quite new. The main room is all open plan, kitchen, dining, living space, with a wood burner. There’s underfloor heating downstairs which is good. You can get out from there into the garden.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There’s a lawn and a patio area that looks over the fields. And there’s a hot tub out there.
Upstairs is the bedroom with a big super king bed and a wet room shower. That’s got underfloor heating too.
There’s a utility room and a store room for bikes if you’re bringing them.
It’s very rural here. The nearest pub and shop is about a mile down the lane in Ystrad Aeron. For a proper wander, Aberaeron is about seven miles. It’s a nice Georgian harbour town, good for fish and chips or a walk. New Quay and the coast is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes in the car. Lampeter is about seven miles the other way.
You’re right in the middle of Cardigan Bay for beaches and the coastal path. Visit Ceredigion has proper maps and ideas if you’re planning walks. For the bigger National Trust places, National Trust Wales is useful.
Facilities wise: it’s got parking, WiFi, a Smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
