Cartws Blaenparc Coach House is a converted coach house on our farm here in Caledrhydiau. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The views from the front are really good. You look straight out over the fields towards the Cambrian Mountains. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and hear the usual farm noises during the day. There's a private patio with a BBQ.
The place is on one level, which is handy. The shower is a walk-in one. You've got a washing machine, TV, WiFi and parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. All bedding and towels are included.
You're properly inland here, for the quiet. But the coast is about a 30 minute drive. New Quay is a nice little town with boat trips. You often see dolphins from the boats, or even from the shore. Aberaeron is a bit fancier, with its coloured houses around the harbour. Aberystwyth is in the other direction, also about half an hour. It's got a long promenade, a pier, and the cliff railway.
If you want to walk, the coast path is obviously the main draw. Inland, there's good walking in the mountains right from the door. For a day out, the red kite feeding centre at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian is about 25 minutes away. You can watch hundreds of them come in to feed. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines are a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.
If you're coming with more people, you can book this place alongside Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn next door. Together they sleep six.
