This is Y Beudy. It's in Llanwenog, which is a hamlet in Carmarthenshire. It's a barn we converted. It's detached and sits on the edge of the Teifi Valley, so you get a clear view right down the valley from the main living area and the terrace.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and, actually, four bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own, which is useful. The master bedroom is large and has French doors out to the terrace. The stairs are normal, not especially steep.
Inside it's all one big open space: kitchen, dining, and sitting area together. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. We've also got an electric vehicle charger on site now.
Outside there's a big wraparound terrace. It gets the sun. There's a gas barbecue, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a fire pit out there. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring up to four dogs. They need to be kept on a lead outside the garden though, as there are working farms with livestock nearby.
The place has a 5 Star rating. That just means everything is in good order and the finish is to a high standard.
Location wise, you're in the countryside. Lampeter and Llandysul are the nearest towns for shops and cafés, about a ten minute drive. The coast at places like New Quay and Aberaeron is about twenty to thirty minutes away by car. Aberystwyth is about forty minutes.
If you're outdoorsy, the Llandysul Paddlers centre is close by for canoeing. There's good walking and cycling from the door. For a day out, you've got places like the Dolaucothi Gold Mines or the red kite feeding centre at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian, both within a thirty minute drive.
