Llanfair Hill Cottage
This is Llanfair Hill Cottage. It’s near the tiny village of Gorsgoch in Carmarthenshire. You’re in the countryside here, not in a town. Our smallholding is 23 acres, mostly fields. The cottage itself used to be the old milking parlour, but we renovated it fully in 2022. It’s right next to our house.
It’s for two people. One bedroom with a super king bed that can be made into twins if you prefer. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. Everything’s on one level.
The living area is open plan. There’s a sofa, TV, and a dining table. The kitchen is a proper country kitchen, so you can cook a meal in if you want. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped.
You can bring dogs. Two are welcome. There’s an enclosed garden for them, and they can run on our land. We’ve also got stables if you want to bring a horse. That’s a separate cost you’d arrange with us directly.
The local pub is about a mile away. It serves food.
For coast, New Quay is about 11 miles. It’s a proper harbour village with boat trips, shops, and places to eat. Aberaeron is a bit further, maybe 15-20 minutes by car. It’s a nice colourful harbour town. Aberystwyth is a university town with a long promenade and pier. That’s about a 40-minute drive.
If you like walking, you can pick up footpaths right from the door. The Ceredigion coast path is all along here. There’s also the Cambrian Mountains inland.
Facilities wise: it has WiFi, TV, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are included. It’s all electric and that’s included in the price.
