The Cow Shed
The Cow Shed is on our farm, Neuadd Lwyd, in Ceredigion. It's one of a row of old stone barns we've done up. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything works.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen at one end, sitting area at the other. The bathroom is ensuite. There's a sofa, TV, and WiFi. You get your own enclosed garden with a patio and a bit of lawn. We leave the BBQ out there in the summer. There's parking right outside.
You're welcome to bring up to four dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's not fortress. If your dog is a real escape artist, you'll need to keep an eye on them.
The location is quiet. It's about two and a half miles to the nearest beach. The Ceredigion coastal path is good for walks. You can sometimes see dolphins from the cliffs on a clear day. The towns of Newquay and Aberaeron are a short drive away for shops and a meal.
If you fancy going inland, the Cambrian Mountains are about half an hour's drive. The Cors Caron Nature Reserve is up there, and the ruins of Strata Florida Abbey are nearby. For general trip planning, Visit Wales and the National Trust sites are useful.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine, and parking. Dogs are allowed.
