Seadrift is one of the old fisherman's cottages on the row in New Quay. It's terraced. It was built in 1836. The front door is on the middle floor, which is a bit unusual.
It's a 3 Star cottage. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's clean and comfortable, not luxury. You can bring up to two dogs.
When you walk in, there's a double bedroom and the bathroom straight ahead. The stairs go down to the living area and kitchen. They're the original stone stairs, so they're a bit steep and worn in places. The living room has a wood burner and beams. French doors open onto a terraced patio with a sea view.
Up a floor from the front door are two more bedrooms: a double with a sea view and a single room.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea. You can sit inside or outside and just watch it. You often see dolphins.
You're a few minutes' walk from everything in New Quay. There are pubs, cafes, and shops. The beach is about 175 yards away. Two of the town beaches allow dogs all year.
You can get boat trips from the harbour to see the dolphins up close. The Wales Coast Path runs right through town if you want to walk.
Within half an hour's drive you have Aberaeron, which is a nice little harbour town. The Llanerchaeron estate is just outside it. You can also get to places like Cwmtydu, which is a good spot for seeing seals.
Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. The patio is enclosed. There's on-street parking, which is usually fine to find.
