Ponycob Cottage is on our smallholding in Blaencelyn, Carmarthenshire. It's a quiet spot, about two and a half miles from the coast.
The cottage is a converted stone building, semi-detached. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en-suite to each bedroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so the standard is high. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months.
You get your own private patio with a hot tub. It's enclosed, so it's private. It catches the sun. The cottage looks out over a pond we have here – you'll see ducks and that.
We live next door. The name comes from the Welsh cobs we used to have on the farm.
We've got a fenced exercise field up the track if you bring a dog. One well-behaved pet is allowed.
As for the area, there's a shop about three quarters of a mile away. A pub and restaurant are two miles. The beach at Llansteffan is about two and a half miles drive. It's a good, sandy beach with a castle you can walk up to. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about a 20 minute drive. For walks, the Brecon Beacons are roughly half an hour north.
