Lily Pond Cottage
Lily Pond Cottage is over in Llwyndafydd in Carmarthenshire. It’s one of a small group of restored stone cottages.
It’s a one-bedroom place rated 4 Star. Sleeps two people comfortably. One of you gets a double room, the other gets the sofa bed, it’s fair to say. The shower room is on the ground floor. The main entrance and the patio are wheelchair accessible, but the bedroom is upstairs. The stairs are standard cottage stairs.
You get your own patio out the front with some chairs. There’s a big communal garden that all the cottages share. It has walking trails, picnic benches, a heated outdoor swimming pool that's open in the summer, and a tennis court. The pool and court are shared facilities, so you might have to wait your turn sometimes.
Inside, it’s open plan downstairs. You’ve got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All bedding is included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
The coast is about two miles away. Cwm Tydu beach is the closest one. New Quay is a 15-minute drive and Llangrannog is about 20 minutes. Both have pubs, shops, and places to eat. They do boat trips from New Quay to see the dolphins in Cardigan Bay.
For walking, you’re close to the Ceredigion Coastal Path. Inland, the Cambrian Mountains are about half an hour’s drive for a different kind of scenery.
