Llangrannog

The cottage is called Llangrannog. It’s on the outskirts of Nanternis, a small hamlet near New Quay in west Wales. It's detached, with a garden that's enclosed. You get the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is about two hundred years old, so you’ll see the stone walls and beams. It's been renovated though. The stairs are fairly typical for a cottage, which is to say they're a bit steep.

There’s a wood burner in the lounge for cooler evenings. The kitchen is a good size, with a proper table. French doors from the lounge lead straight out to the garden. It’s a handy spot if you’ve got a dog, though we don't take pets at this one.

You can walk to the coast from here. The Ceredigion Coast Path is nearby. A mile's walk will get you to Cwmtydu, which is a pebble beach managed by the National Trust. You often see seals there in the autumn.

New Quay is about a ten minute drive. They do dolphin boat trips from the harbour. Aberaeron is a twenty minute drive, it's a nice Georgian harbour town with some good places to eat. In the other direction, you're about half an hour from Cardigan, which has the castle, or Aberystwyth with its promenade.

For facilities, you've got parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can store bicycles.

This cottage can be booked with two others nearby if you've got a bigger group. Useful links for planning: National Trust Wales and Visit Wales.
