Y Ty Glas is in New Quay, a few minutes walk up from the harbour. It's a terraced cottage, painted the slate grey-blue colour it's named after. You've got your own courtyard garden out the back. It's a suntrap and it's enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
The cottage sleeps six in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. It was done up not too long ago, so it's fresh. There's a woodburner in the living room for chilly evenings. The kitchen opens into a sun room, which is a nice bright spot.
New Quay itself is right there. It's a five minute walk down to the beach and the harbour. There are pubs, restaurants, and shops. It gets busy in summer with boat trips and people. The bus stop is almost opposite the cottage if you fancy going to Aberystwyth or Cardigan without driving.
You can walk onto the Wales Coast Path from here. People go on dolphin watching trips from the harbour. The beaches are good, and safe for swimming.
For days out, Aberystwyth is about half an hour north. Cardigan is about half an hour south, and they've finished the work on the castle there. The National Trust has a few places nearby like Llanerchaeron, which is a nice estate to wander around.
What's there: Parking for one car right outside. Washing machine. WiFi. TV. Towels and bedding are included. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a highchair if you need it.
