Rickyard Cottage

Rickyard Cottage is in Llwyndafydd near New Quay in Carmarthenshire. It's on an estate with a few other cottages, like a little hamlet. You get your own private garden and patio area. It faces southwest so it catches the sun.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kitted out. The main living room has high ceilings with a sort of gallery above. There's a big wood burner for cool evenings.

You share access to the estate grounds. There are walks, a heated outdoor pool which is open in summer, and a tennis court. It's about a two-mile drive down to Cwm Tydu beach.

New Quay is a ten-minute drive. It's a proper little harbour town with pubs, chip shops, and boat trips that go out to look for dolphins. Llangrannog is about twenty minutes away. It's another good cove with a beach.

The coastal path is right there if you want to walk. For a bigger day out, you can drive up towards Snowdonia National Park in under an hour. There are a lot of castles around this part of Wales too if that's your thing.

Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding is included. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
