Let's Glamp Retro Queen
This is the Let's Glamp Retro Queen. It's one of three lodgepods on our site in Capel Cynon, near New Quay in Carmarthenshire. It sleeps four, maybe five if you use the sofa bed, but it's really one bedroom with a double and a set of bunk beds. The bathroom is a wet room, which is handy.
The idea is it's styled like the 1970s, but with proper modern stuff. It's glamping, so it's a step up from a tent. You've got a little kitchen, a wood burner for heat, a smart TV, and wi-fi. There's a deck outside with a wood-fired hot tub. You get the fire going yourself, it takes a few hours to heat up. There's a picnic bench on the gravel next to the pod, looking over our pond and the fields.
The site is quiet. You'll see red kites about, and hear owls at night. We leave out some deckchairs and binoculars.
You're about a ten-minute drive from the coast at New Quay. Good beach there, and they run boat trips to see dolphins from the harbour. The coastal path is spectacular. Inland, you've got the Teifi Valley and the Cambrian Mountains for walking. Aberaeron is a nice little harbour town to visit, and Cardigan is about half an hour away.
Facilities wise: everything's on one level. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ you can use. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We can provide a cot. There's parking right next to your pod.
