Welshouse

Welshouse is a barn we converted, on our smallholding near Penrhiw Pâl. It's detached. You get your own enclosed patio garden, which looks out over fields. You'll see sheep and maybe some of our cows.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. It's clean and comfortable. The main room downstairs is all open plan, kitchen and living area together. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The stairs go up to a little galleried reading area on the landing.

The hamlet of Henllan is close. Newcastle Emlyn is about a six minute drive. It's a small town with shops, a few places to eat, and a castle ruin by the river.

The coast is within about half an hour. There are several good beaches like Penbryn and Tresaith. New Quay is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes. You can sometimes see dolphins from the harbour there, and they do boat trips. The Wales Coast Path runs along here if you want a walk.

Other places you might drive to are Aberaeron, which is a nice Georgian harbour town, or Cardigan. Cardigan has a castle and you can get boat trips on the estuary. The National Trust looks after some bits of the coast nearby, like Llanerchaeron.

Facilities include the wood burner, parking, WiFi, TV, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
