The Stables

The Stables is a cottage on our farm in Tan y groes. It's detached, so it's just you. The farm is about 48 acres. We've got Shetland ponies, alpacas, donkeys, a few goats, and some chickens and ducks. Kids are welcome to see them. We live on site too, in the main house.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable and clean. You get your own enclosed garden. There's parking right outside. We have an electric car charger if you need it.

Inside, there's a wood burning stove for colder evenings, a TV, and WiFi. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.

There's a barbecue hut in the field we call the Hobbit House. You can book it with us when you're here for a small charge, if it's free. There's also bike storage in the barn.

The local shop and pub are about a mile away. The coast at Aberporth is a five minute drive. It's a good sandy beach. From New Quay, about fifteen minutes away, you can sometimes see dolphins. The harbour town of Aberaeron is a bit further up the coast.

For walking, the Ceredigion Coast Path is right there. The National Trust looks after Penbryn Bay, which is lovely. You can visit Cilgerran Castle too, which is a ruin over the Teifi Gorge. Cardigan town and its castle are close.

If you have children, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park is nearby. There's also horse riding and a golf course not far. You can get to a lot of the Pembrokeshire coast within half an hour.
