The Stables
The Stables is on our farm just south of Tan y groes. It’s detached and was the old stables, converted now. The farm is 48 acres so it’s quiet here, and you’ll see fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean. The main thing is the animals. We’ve got alpacas, donkeys, goats, ducks and chickens. Kids are welcome to come and say hello to them.
There’s an enclosed garden for you. We also have a barbecue hut you can hire while you’re here, we just call it the Hobbit House. You’d need to book that with us when you arrive. There’s bike storage in the barn if you bring cycles. We’ve put in an electric vehicle charger too.
You’re about five minutes by car from the coast at Cardigan Bay. The beach at Penbryn is a good one, managed by the National Trust. For a town, Cardigan is ten minutes away. It has the castle and shops. New Quay is about fifteen minutes up the coast. You can sometimes see dolphins from the harbour there. Aberaeron is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes. It’s a nice Georgian harbour town with places to eat.
If you like walking, the Ceredigion Coast Path is right there. For a day out, Cilgerran Castle is worth a look. It’s ruins overlooking the Teifi Gorge. We’re also close to the Pembrokeshire border, so you can get to that coast in under half an hour.
Inside there’s a woodburning stove, a TV, WiFi, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to three dogs. There’s parking right outside.
We have two other cottages here, The Granary and The Cottage. You can book them all together if you’re a bigger group.
