Arforwest

This is Arforwest in Pontgarreg. It's a bungalow, detached, sitting up on a bit of a bank. It looks out over the fields towards the sea at Cardigan Bay. You get a good view of Llangrannog from the front.

It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom is adapted. It's got a walk-in shower and handrails if you need them. It's a 3 Star place. Everything works, it's clean and tidy, but it's not high-end. Thoughtful, not luxurious.

You're down a private lane so it's quiet. The owner sometimes stays in another building on the old smallholding grounds. They're around if you need something or to take a grocery delivery, but they leave you to it.

The sun room is where you'll likely end up. It's off the kitchen and you eat there looking out at the view. The sunsets are good. There's a patio area outside too. You see red kites and buzzards around quite often.

Llangrannog village is about a mile away. There's a pub that does food, a couple of cafes, and a good sandy beach. New Quay is a short drive along the coast. They have dolphin watching boat trips from there, which people seem to like.

This part of the coast is good for stargazing on a clear night because there's not much light around. You can see a few planets with the naked eye.

For beaches, Mwnt and Aberporth are worth the drive. To the north, you've got the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It's all within half an hour or so.

In terms of what's here: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, a cot and highchair. The bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
