The Granary
The Granary is a stone cottage on our farm, about a mile from the nearest village. It's detached, so no one else is sharing the walls. You look out over our fields.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The conversion kept some of the old character, so the ceilings are beamed and the windows are cottage windows.
The farm is 48 acres. We've got alpacas, donkeys, ponies, goats and some chickens. You're welcome to come and see them, kids usually love it. There's a barbecue hut you can hire from us while you're here, we just call it the hut. Bike storage is in the barn if you need it.
The coast is about five minutes drive. Aberporth is the closest village, it's got a nice beach. For a longer beach, Penbryn is managed by the National Trust. You can often see dolphins from New Quay harbour, which is about fifteen minutes up the coast. Aberaeron is a bit further, it's a Georgian harbour town with good places to eat.
Cardigan is ten minutes away. It has a castle and the usual shops. Newcastle Emlyn is a market town inland if you're after antiques. There's a lot to do locally if you have children: the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, the Teifi Valley Railway, and places like Cenarth with waterfalls and coracle rides.
In terms of facilities: it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
