Hafan Gwyn

Hafan Gwyn is in Felinwynt, Ceredigion. It's a detached cottage, but it's on the same bit of land as our house. You get your own space, and we're next door if you need anything.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is on the ground floor and is a wet room, which is useful. It got a 5 Star rating after we renovated it in 2021, so it's all fairly new and works well.

The main room is open plan, kitchen, dining and living area together. The ceilings are high so it feels spacious. French doors lead out to the enclosed garden. There's a hot tub out there. From the garden, you can see a slice of the sea.

The village is tiny. There's a play barn and a café a short walk away, which is handy if you've got kids. The coast path is right there. You can walk to the beach at Mwnt in maybe 20 minutes, or drive down in five. It's a National Trust beach, so it's kept nice. National Trust Mwnt.

Aberporth is a five minute drive. It's a proper little seaside village with two beaches, pubs, and cafes. For a bigger shop, Cardigan is about 15 minutes away. It has a castle and a market.

If you want a day out, Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm are both roughly an hour's drive. The whole Cardigan Bay coast is good for walking. The Wales Coastal Path website has maps.

Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking for a couple of cars right outside. You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed.
