This is Trecift. It's a farmhouse I restored not far from Cardigan. It was pretty much a ruin five years ago. Now it sleeps ten people.
It's on a hillside. The view from the back is south over the Tivy Valley nature reserve. You can see the Preseli hills in the distance. There are no other houses in the way.
The kitchen and living area is all one big room. There are oak beams and a stone floor. The back wall is mostly bifold doors that open onto a raised terrace. The terrace has a glass balustrade so you don't lose the view. It's a good spot for a drink.
There's a separate snug room with a big wood burner. You can see the fire from the main room too. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and an en-suite. There are four other bedrooms and two more bathrooms. One bathroom has a double-ended bath and a separate shower. All bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there's a large patio with a hot tub big enough for a family. There's also a grassed garden area. You get the whole space to yourselves. It's detached. Parking is on the driveway.
You're about a mile from Cardigan town. There are supermarkets, shops, pubs, and restaurants there. The nearest beach is about four miles. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath is close, if you want to walk the coast.
In the area, Mwnt beach is about a twenty minute drive north. It's good for dolphin watching sometimes. Aberporth and New Quay are along the coast that way too. Aberaeron is about half an hour south. It has those coloured houses by the harbour.
Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm are both within a half hour drive if you need a day out with kids.
Facilities wise: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's a barbecue. No pets, sorry.
